Tell me about the American Community Survey

Have you ever tried to say no? Do they come at night? NIGHT night, like 8:45 pm and cold-call at your door? Skeered the SHEEE-ITE out of me.

OMG. Would YOU take this survey at 8:45 pm on a weeknight? Would YOU let them inside?

One phone call 15 minutest after they left (yes, I did let them have my name and phone number)
One phone message when I got home tonite giving me two numbers to call.

I kinda feel like just sitting back and watching the show now.

I was CONSIDERING doing it and looking into what it was until that deal-breaker phone call 15 minutes after I shut the door and WENT TO BED.

Right now, I think not. Let them GUESS whether or not I have indoor plumbing . . . .

1. Yes, I would do the American Community Survey because it's an important supplement to the decennial

census, but that's me. It's one of the richest data sets of its type available for public use.

That 8:45 PM attempt was probably not the first time someone has tried to reach you for the survey, but because it's a Census effort they will go to great lengths to as high a response rate as possible. However, if you are upset by the number and timing of contacts, complain: 1-800-923-8282
