My three year old refuses to stay in the room during his favorite tv shows |
|
And then, when he's in the next room and hears that the episode is ending, he throws a 100 megaton tantrum complete with plagues of locusts and rains of fire from the sky.
Children are a source of neverending joy.

1. Turn the tube off as soon as he leaves the room and don't turn it back on. |
|
The tantrum will come anyway, but after a few days you can just not turn it on at all. He'll get the message eventually.

2. HopeHoops has it right. |
|
There's no need for a three-year-old to watch tv at all if it causes tantrums.

4. Had that fight with my daughter |
|
she went through a spell where she would want her show on, but wanted to run all over the house and not watch it. But good lord don't dare change the channel or she would have a fit.
I brought the hammer down on that shit real quick, I told her if she was going to act like that she wouldn't get to watch any tv at all. Took a few times but she got the message.

8. So I hear. I am really dreading those teenage years. |
|
If my little girl has half the smart mouth that I had on me, I am in for quite a ride. I guess I better really enjoy these terrible toddler years before she can start talking back. :)
