If you were coming to the town where someone you know lives, and rather than having you stay at their home, they offered to put you in a reasonably nice hotel?

3. it would depend on why. for instance i am friends with my ex's and supposing

i was visiting in town for one of them, their current partner might prefer if i stayed in a hotel rather then the couch

I would never do it again. It was horrible.

I'll pay the money to stay in a hotel any day.

However, I know a guy who who lived in Oregon who got all butt-hurt when he couldn't stay at my apartment in Los Angeles for 4 days after dropping in un-announced. At the time we had 3 ppl in one bedroom, 1 person in another, and 1 person sleeping in the living room. If he hadn't pitched a fit, we still might've squeezed him in. But whatever. Come to think about it, I haven't heard from that dude in like 15 years...lol.

But yeah, somebody wants to put me up in a clean motel room for the duration, I'd have no problem with that.

8. No. Outside of family, there are very few people I would want to stay with

in their home. I would be more comfortable in a hotel. It would be more like having my own space.
