TMZ Reporting: Conan O'Brien Is Out. Jay Leno Is Back On At 11:30 pm

We've learned Jay's 10:00 PM show will go on hiatus February 1. After the Olympics, Jay will take back his 11:30 PM time slot. What has not been decided -- whether Jay's show will be a half hour, followed by Conan, or whether Jay's show will be an hour and NBC says sayonara to Mr. O'Brien.

He's terrible. Conan just hasn't worked for this opportunity but is at-least not-terrible at these sorts of things generally.

Maybe I'm the only one, but I think this late-night talk-show thing is totally played out. The first network to shitcan it and put on some other decent form of programming is going to own the time-slot.
