Avatar becomes 2nd highest grossing film in 20 days.
I am going as soon as the crowds thin out.

On Wednesday, AVATAR surpassed LORD OF THE RINGS: RETURN OF THE KING's $1.12 billion for the number two spot in the list, and that only took 20 days to accomplish. At this rate, Cameron should be topping Cameron in no time at all.

2. I thought it was a great film.
Yeah, I had a number of problems with the plot, and parts of the third act seemed downright silly to me, but overall, it was an amazing experience. I've seen it in standard 3d and in Imax 3d and both were incredible. This is the first film I've seen twice in the theaters since Spiderman 2, I believe.

5. Just because it makes tons of money doesn't mean it's a good movie.
Today's audiences are easily distracted by fancy graphics, forgetting plot, storyline, character development, acting, and all the other stuff that goes into making a decent movie.

Avatar is really not that good. I'm glad I didn't pay money to see it.
