Do such things exist? I want to use it for a large scale annotation type project. Potentially 100s of "pages." Thanks in advance....

1. Do you mean an existing site
Or do you mean you need wiki software?

If it's the second, there's bunches and here's a helpful comparison page:

2. Thanks...I'm thinking the former
I was hoping something like a google-doc, discussion board existed with wiki functionality. Wave might be it, I suppose, but all I'm looking for is wiki style with author approvals. But I don't even have Chrome yet. Does Chrome have such responsibilities?

And thank-you so much for the response. I really appreciate you taking the time out to link me and help boil the question down for me.

Thanks again!!

3. Me, I'm a simple person
I work with stuff I'm familiar with. I know WordPress so, I would just install WordPress and then snag a wiki plugin. That is, if I'm paying for my own hosting. If I were looking for a free solution, well, I'm sure they're out there. Google Sites claims to have that capability:

From a Google search, there's also these:
