1. I would hope they keep this cat on a leash...

Yikes! That animal looks like it could drag your dead body up a tree.

3. Cat on a hot tin leash
.
I usually don't name cats (I've never ever had a cat respond in
ANY way to a "name"), but friends kept insisting with my last cat,
so I finally named her NoName (pronounced No - nah - m'HAY...
Tohono O'odham nation style). Not that SHE ever responded to it,
either. Tuxedo cat. Shelter-acquired. Smug attitude and uber-sweet
at the same time. My favorite cat ever.
.
Took right to a leash. Perked up when she saw me approaching her
with it in the house. Would either trot along happily right at my
heels (without any training from me) or wander out and explore at
the very end of her 15-foot retractable leash. Met lots of nice
folks who were intrigued by and delighted at the sight of the two
of us out for a strolll. Most seemed to be unable to accept that
I had not somehow "taught" her to be leash-friendly.
.
Lost her to respiratory problems four months ago, suddenly and
unexpectedly (adopted her in 2001 at about a year old). For quite
a while after that, I wouldn't have been able to write this without
sobbing (now I just have to wipe my eyes a lilbit).
.
Thanks for prompting me to think of this. We both emjoyed those walks
immensely.

4. my big orange tabby...
...has always been happy to walk on a leash. We did it for years in a place where he couldn't freely roam due to traffic. It's adorable. He mostly stays inside now that he's old, but I walk him on leash in the huge garden adjacent to our home.

6. Never had a cat, thanks to allergies.
But I had a pet terrapin (turtle) that a friend rigged a collar for. We'd go to the park, I'd attach the leash, then sit on a bench and read the paper while Lightning basked on the end of his tether. A couple of dogs sniffed at Lightning and jumped and ran back to their owners when he turned his head to look at them. Met some interesting folks with old Lightning. . .
