Second guessing myself

I'm arranging the music for Markus' funeral and I've been told I can have a total of three songs. The first two must be 3 minutes or under and the final one, well, that can run a little longer.

So I've been tossing around ideas and picking out songs and my final song will be Time to say goodbye, by Sarah Brightman because that was our song when we were conducting a long distance relationship between the US and Germany for the first two years of our relationship.

I would also like to include Sarah Brightman's "The last words you said" and Greenday's "Time of your life" but they both run longer than 3 minutes. Should I pick one out of the two and just have two songs?

1. Is it definite they won't relax the rules just a bit.

I don't know Sarah Brightman's music, I do love the Green Day song. And I think you should be able to have all three songs. I also imagine you will have some sort of reception afterward where you could play the 3rd song if they won't lighten up a bit for you. :hug:

My friends lost their 20 year old son in September and I think of them when I hear this song. I will now think of you too. I know you have people who love you and will support you through this time. You are in my thoughts from across the ocean. :hug:

3. I fought with my entire family so a song my mother always wanted...

..played at her funeral was played at her memorial service. They only played the music, without lyrics, and just as the first of us entered, but I have no regrets. Even when my best friend looked at me and asked, "Is that what I think it is?" I know my mother must have somehow gotten a chuckle over it.

Be true to yourself. Don't let anybody try to take away even the smallest memory from you.

4. Is there anybody you know

that can possibly edit the songs for you to fit in the alloted time frame? That way you can play all three songs and have them all be under 3 minutes?

What difference will it make to anyone if a song is a minute or two longer, really? Do whatever you wish to do to memorialize your dear HerrHerr, P. Whatever it is that YOU want. :hug:
