I think I have the most affectionate cat in DU.
Charlotte.

She will bounce up on my lap, purring away so loud it practically echoes, lick my nose and head rub me in my whole face.

:loveya:

1. She's grateful.
She's a rescue, right? She's grateful. She'll love you forever.

15. Not a rescue.
A woman on the local "Freecycle" through Yahoo groups had her, but the woman's daughter developed a severe allergy to cat dander.

So she wa offered on Freecycle, I said I was interested, when I held her for the first time she purred like crazy.

She knows I'm a softy for affectionate cats.

2. Does she doe that incessantly?
Like when you are trying to eat? I have to keep a can of air duster at my kitchen table. One of my kitties is always doing the purring/rubbing/head-butting thing, even when I am trying to eat my meals. I have another can at my computer, as she does it while I am on my computer, too. As the person who rescued her as a kitten says, she's just really grateful that I gave her a good, loving home. Really, really, really grateful. Eight-plus years later. To the point of being a nuisance. Her name is "Pepper." I call her "Pestper." :-)

5. That sounds like my Ruby
Ruby will jump on my lap--especially when I'm on the computer--purring as if she needed a muffler!

8. I loves tabbies.
I have 3, small, medium and large. That's not their names, they are Gloria, Trouble and Mac. Gloria is a lap kitty, Trouble stands on my chest while I'm trying to fall asleep(and drools) and Mac is sometimes aloof, sometimes affectionate. I love all three, they are entertaining and great company. And they all hate belly rubs and will tear you to pieces if you try it.

9. Kamere loves belly rubs.
But touch his butt (his spine near his tail) and he'll growl and send eye lasers in your direction.

Kamere weighs 18 lbs. He's part Maine Coon. He's cranky.

13. I should have named her Sweetie or Sleepy.
Never name anything Trouble. She does live up to her name more than any critter I've ever had.
But we think she's great anyway!
