I'm so excited about something on E-Bay I could just crap

Without going into any great detail I'll say that I have a small collection of some obscure fishing gear. The thing I specialize in was made by a defunct company. It came in 8 models and I have managed to obtain 6 of those 8, each in pristine condition. Of the other two models one is extremely rare (less than 100 made) and from what I've been able to learn most were sold overseas.

For 11 years I have searched E-Bay every day looking for either of the two models I'm missing. Today, for the very first time, one appeared. I have been in contact with the seller - it is in perfect condition. I'm still shaking.

Got to get out and raise some cash. 5+ days to go.

I'm just so excited. I called my son and told him first thing - he couldn't care less of course but he knows how rabid I am about this. My wife has tried her best to act interested too. I will be unbearable for the next few days.

5. Suggestion - collect something cheap

I've spent way more money on these things than I should have and there's really no justification for it other than that I just want to see if I can find and buy all 8 of them. Its an odd obsession.

14. The price of the reel nearly trippled in the last 10 seconds

It went from something like $150 to $450 in the last 10 seconds. I was willing to pay up to $1,400 for it though so the end was never in doubt.

13. Glad you won it. I had some pretty tense moments a few months ago, but

won an auction for a 2002 Gibson Les Paul Special. Sadly, not especially cheap, but I'm very happy with it.

What was really enjoyable about this past week is that in correspondence with the seller I got a lot more information about the now defunct company and found out that one of my reels has a great story behind it and in fact may be quite valuable because of it. It appears to be the best existing example of the last 5 prototype reels made before the company faded into history.
