3. from the greatest album of the last 40+ years
(still gotta go with Highway 61 for THE greatest, but outside of that, it's gotta be London Calling)......and this is one of the best of a whole slew of magnificent , proud, defiant, and ROCKIN songs from it...

5. Wasn't familiar with them at all ....good stuff though
Edited on Wed Jan-13-10 07:11 PM by abq e streeter
reminded me of The Kinks a little bit, for some reason ( that's a compliment BTW)

But I love love love London Calling... as a dedicated E Streeter, I still don't think Bruce ever made an album better than London Calling (and maybe not Give Em Enough Rope either)....OTOH, Bruce live and in person is THE SHIT.
My old vato, Eric McFadden does Guns of Brixton too; I don't think he's ever recorded it (?) and either way, there is no you tube of him doing it. Too bad, he really rips it up too

How you gonna come? with your hands on your head or on the trigger of your gun?

( Eric and Joe)
