Poll question: Dingbats for Kerry - another fund drive thread

So here's the plan. :bounce:

Reply to this thread with an argument for one of two possible positions:

1) Robb is a Dingbat, and why; or

2) Robb is not a Dingbat, and why.

For every person that replies and includes an argument for one of these positions, Mrs. Robb and I pledge to donate a dollar to the Kerry campaign.

This drive will end when the thread reaches page 4.

So, stand up and be counted! We wanted to donate anyhow, but this seems more funner! :silly:

I've always thought that Robb wasn't a dingbat...and working with him as a moderator, seeing what a great, consciencious job he's doing, it's even more apparent that he is NOT a dingbat!

If we extrapolate the word to its roots, we find very interesting results. Ding is the sound a bell or other similar device might make. Bat can be either the blunt object used to bludgeon, or any of the various winged mammals that live in caves and/or are superheroes. Is Robb a device that makes ringing noises? Is he a cave dwelling mammal? Is he a blunt instrument used to smash other objects? Is he some combination of a ringing cave dwelling mammal that bludgeons small spherical objects. We must say no to each of these options.

Thus, if we look at it from the perspective of what the word means, we can prove a priori, that Robb, in fact, not only is not a dingbat, but is actually the anti-dingbat.
