After 5 months things weren't working out so well and I sucked it up to call him to see if there was a chance of coming back
His first words were: How soon can you be here?
I left on a Monday and was back at my old job the following Monday
Stayed for another 19 years
He had not dropped me from the pension plan or health ins while I was gone, said he was going to wait 6 months
