My momma is passing away
Now, dont feel sorry for me.
I was washing dishes last week and I had this sudden image of my mom in trouble.

she lives a state away from me.

I hurriedly stopped the dishes and ran to the phone and called her.

she was barely breathing.

I had an ambulance go to her house and she went to the hospital..

she is no longer at home, today, she is in a nursing home, she has had congestive heart failure for yrs, and it finally caught up with her.

I spoke with her yesterday on the phone. She sounds relieved, in a way, and seems to realize, that its time.

she seemed to be speaking from her spirit, when she said she loved me.

I have been thru my 2 husbands, my dad, and my youngest son's passing on.

But in those cases, I couldnt say goodbye.

This time, I can.

It will be easier then my son, I know that.

and I have to believe my dad is with her in spirit now, helping her thru this.

remember, you young people, call your mom tonight. tell her you love her with all your heart.

tell her that every week every day.

I love my mommy. doesnt matter that Im almost 60 yrs old, she is still mommy to me.

We had a scare over the holidays with her.

May you Mom have a peaceful passing when the time comes.

8. Wishing a peaceful passing to your mom, Mari
I lost mine 2 years ago, and like your mom, mine was ready to go. It hurt like hell, but I also had a sense of peace about it. She'd been ill for quite a long time, and I knew, as she did, that it was time for her to finally rest.

I wish you peace with this too.

9. Wow
I was forty-one when my Mother died - and then a year later, my Dad. Even at 41, I felt like an orphan. It's difficult to lose a parent, no matter your age. And then, of course, it causes you to look at your own immortality - if our parents die, then it stands to reason we are next.

Oh my god, to have lost a child, husbands, and now parents ... you must really be in pain. My heart is with you. Hang in. Cherish the memories. Know that they love(ed) you. Peace be with you in this very difficult time.

Jackie

30. I know, my mom turned 95 on the 12th
and she lives across the country from me; my brothers take care of her but I want to. She's mentally fine, but her body is wearing out.
Mari333, this is the only picture I could find (a drawing of the illustration in the book) from the end of the children's book "Love You Forever"- it's of a son and his mommy, but I thought of it while reading your post.
