Kate Gosselin, 34, marked the new year by trading in her signature spiky bob for long, blonde locks in a process that took 20 hours of work and would normally cost $7,000 (hers was comped).

"She thinks her hair looks over­processed and damaged," adds the insider. "She's afraid people will think she's one of Tiger Woods' bimbos!" (In an online video posted Jan. 10, Gosselin looks in the mirror and says, "Oh, Lord have mercy... it's weird.)

Perhaps she deserves some sympathy, seeing as how her ex-husband turned out to be a total shit-heel. I don't know.

It seems as if she is being groomed and promoted as a woman to be admired and emulated, but I just don't get it. Just because her husband was a philandering, opportunistic dirtbag does not make her a saint.

3. One of the reasons that I loathe her so much

Is that she and Jon have tried to glamorize mega-birthing. And that's not a subject that, in my opinion, should be glamorized.

Plus, with the direction that both Jon and Kate have taken since their separation began, it is readily apparent that they are both, simply, attention whores. Neither one of them have any special talent.

For reality tv, it's "The Little Couple" for me! ha ha They are adorable!!!

I didn't watch the show regularly but I remember being at my parents house and my nieces & nephews were watching a telethon of that show on TV. That woman henpecked and humiliated her husband constantly on TV, if ever a woman deserved a cheating husband it was Kate Gosselin. I mean, if Jon had treated Kate like that on the show there would have been outrage everywhere across the country.

And honestly, Jon finally did the one smart thing that should have been done ages ago - he was the one that finally put a halt on that miserable TV show that was putting those children front and center in the spotlight unnecessarily. All Kate is doing is trying to salvage whatever 'celebrity' career she has left.

My wife has referred to Kate as a 'shrew' and mentioned how she berated and belittled Jon on the show. She has more of a stomach for that kind of TV than I do.

What upset me most was when Kate was a fill-in panelist on The View. What The Fuck?

Sure, not all the women who have been panelists on The View seemed to merit such a pulpit. I guess Kate deserves it as much as the malignantly stupid Elizabeth Hasselbeck. I mean, having too many kids and treating your husband like shit on national television probably qualifies you to be a View panelist at least as much as eating a bug on some reality show.

I guess my take on The View is a bit outdated. That show used to represent a feminist milestone for me, so I looked at the panelists as exemplars of a sort. I reckon those days are over.

8. While she sucks for a number of reasons. I like her new hair.

She looks pretty good with normal hair. Her old reverse mullet was ugly, she looks very feminine now. Actually almost hot. My wife liked the show but could not stand Kate and her hair. But in all seriousness and reality and for the sake of her kids, she needs to be forgotten and become what she is a normal person. Not a celebrity.
