interesting observation about my ignore list today
i go through my ignore list periodically to see if any of them have been tombstoned.

one thing i have noticed, and it finally just clicked for me today, is that two-thirds of them have not had an increase in their post counts. very strange.

basically, from the moment i put them on ignore, they had not posted since. some of them have been members going back as far as 2002.

is my assumption of them possibly being sock puppets too "out there"?

1. I would have responded sooner but,
I just had to go to my manage ignore page for a look-see. I used to clear everyone out at New Year's but I haven't done that for quite some time. I found only two posters from prior to 07 that I still remember and want to ignore forever. I cleared out everyone else on ignore from 06 back, 07 to date I'm keeping on ignore until whenever. I found that many of those early entries have very low post numbers but were never tombstoned while many of the later ones have been. Actually the majority of posters on my list had been tombstoned but more older ones were not, only very low post counts. I guess I'll have to ignore them again one day if they ever post again.

BTW how were you able to determine how their post counts had changed since you ignored them?

5. Don't feel bad
I used to do that too with the ignores that I reinstated. Just so I could refer back to it when I placed someone on ignore. In the heat of the moment of ignoring someone I rarely referred to it so I just stopped. Actually I just now stopped. I didn't save my list of ignores that I removed at all this time and I can tell you the freedom I feel right now...just WOW!
I'm afraid you may be further gone than me though because I never saved their post numbers just their user names.
:hi:

3. For me it's my buddies list tht is littered with tombstones. Not really the troll kind just
the too outspoken for their own good. (Well, mostly. A few went for being rude.)

4. Many from my buddy list are gone too
:(
I believe I only have one person on ignore that I am not forced-ignored with. I have 7 or 8 that I am on forced ignored with. Over some stupid Lounge drama! But it's better that way.

11. Yup
They did this forced ignore thing a few months back when they did a massive ban. It works for me. I would rather have them be on forced ignore instead of me not being able to keep my mouth shut and say something that would get me banned!! :P ;) :)
