Have you ever used Lidoderm patches?
It's a transdermal painkiller in a very sticky patch. Works very well.

Mrs. V. uses them on her wrist. I borrowed one today because my notorious ankle is killing me.

You?

1. I use a pain patch.
It's fenanyl though, not lidocaine.

It works well for me. I wouldn't ever be able to get any rest without my patch. I'd be away, taking more pain pills every few hours if not for the patch. This keeps me at a nice baseline level of pain medication that is enough for when I am resting.

I only need pills now for higher levels of pain when I am awake and moving around.

2. Hi Thom!
My step-sister has a very, very bad back. If she didn't have her fenatyle patches she wouldn' be able to stand up and walk.

3. Hi Roon!
My back pain is what finally drove me to need the patch too. Unfortunately, even with the patch I can't walk for more than very short distances. :(

I'm very glad your step sister is doing well with them. I hope her back problems are the only problems she has to deal with, and I hope that improves over time. :)

4. She is very sickly
Years of partying finally caught up with her. She even had to have to have her fake breasts removed because she is so sick.

But she was doing pretty good at Christmas so I am glad about that.

5. I do - every night
They keep me from getting up in the middle of the night from back pain

They work, but the damage has to be near the surface, or the lidocane will never penetrate deep enough

But its great, you hit just the right spot and the pain goes away. Well, for 12 hours at least.
