Can I tell you why I love Atkins?
I was at safeway yesterday, and all the good cereal was TWO BUCKS! That stuff wat 4.50 last year, now down to two bucks since the low carb people are obsessing about it so much! I love this country, everything not listed as 'low card' is cheaper! I may buy an Atkins book just to keep the ball rolling.

1. You got taht right
Carrots are cheap because they have sugar (CARBS!)
Meat is up because meat is carbo-less!
Unfortunately so is Lobster.

Go Atkins and go without bananas!

2. BUT, you can expect to pay that 'saved' money right back into the system
when you consider how many people who try to follow Atkins end up feeling ill and having to run to their doctor for a bailout....

But I do agree with you in that cereal prices are just plain pathetic, with few exceptions. When I want cereal I go to Trader Joe's where most cereals are in the $2 to $3 a box range, and they have a lot of healthy stuff like flax cereals and lowfat granola.

3. I think the point is that us "non-Atkins" types are benefitting
from the anti-carb types. Works for me. Cheaper "unfashionable" carbs!!!!

4. Meanwhile, the low carbers
Will be shelling out twice as much for low carb specialty products.

Damn, I need to get into the snake oil industry.

5. Do you buy meat?
If so, the increased demand has pushed its price up.

7. You need to stop drinking that OJ
It's unhealthy, full of dangerous and evil carbohydrates. You need to buy my low carb brand fruit substitute beverage, for the very reasonable price of $5.00 per 20 oz bottle.

11. Try the new low-carb BK Whopper.
No bun, just the meat and fixings. I wonder how you're supposed to eat that?

13. I sometimes get sick of it
But it's the only thing that has ever worked for me relatively easy. I say relatively because I eat like a damn bird and I'm still not there yet. The fact is for some of us we can work and work and it's always some fucking struggle.
