we would routinely get callers asking how long the seven-inch sub is.

Decorum demanded that we forgo the obvious penis joke and simply say something like "a little more than half a foot."


Or they'd call and ask how many wings come in the 40-piece bucket.

"Three and one-third dozen," I'd answer.
