Uh oh, it's Girl Scout Cookie time.
I just got back from a brisk walk with my doggie, thinking about how it's time to really step it up and burn off the calories. Then who shows up at my door? Two very nice girls selling those cookies.

They could have brandished a knife and said, "Buy these cookies, bitch!" and I still would have bought some. Sigh.

Oh well, delivery date is around Valentine's Day. There will be no need for candy or gifts. :9

1. Tagalongs
are the best cookies ever made... ever. I can eat a whole box of them in one sitting.

I just ordered two boxes from a co-worker the other day. They are supposed to arrive sometime early next month. I'd be surprised if both boxes lasted a day.

3. I was told you can buy the cookies but have them donated to a charity
instead of getting them. At least that's what my ex-SIL told me when I bought some from my niece. I told her I would prefer the charity be our troops overseas.

9. When our friend was stationed in Iraq two years ago
we sent him 14 boxes of cookies (my daughter was a girl scout, so this order helped her get her cookie badge!). He really wasn't much for sweets, but he was a higher ranking officer, so he spread the cookie love around to the his unit.

They were much appreciated.

I think each troop has the option of a local charity and/or the troops overseas.

and use them as the ingredients, calling them Girl Scout cookies as a final insult to the young boys.

41. Wednesday? 'Zat you?
The Addams Family (1991) (US): While running a lemonade stand of sorts, Wednesday and Pugsley have an encounter with a Girl Scout who is attempting to sell Girl Scout cookies. The Girl Scout asks about the lemonade, "Is it made from real lemons?" Regarding the cookies, Wednesday responds, "Are they made from real Girl Scouts?"

22. They're in front of the stores, too??
I guess some troops find that safer than going door-to-door. I would just smile and tell them you already bought a gross of them, then keep moving.

24. Yep, they place 2 GS at each door and it's a game to try to get by
any of them.

I'm sorry, but I hate grocery shopping and hate it even more when I am harrassed by any kid at the exit door.

I will try to be nice this year though.

28. Two at each door? Wow, that is extreme!
If I came across that, I would let the store manager know. That sort of pushiness is a detriment to the whole shopping experience, and the girls shouldn't be practicing those tactics anyway.

If the manager tries to dismiss the situation with an "Oh, their just kids" attitude, I would announce that I will shop at a competing market instead.

31. I have to hide under my desk everytine...
some of my coworkers come along. There at least 6 of them, all selling cookies for their daughters.
I don't buy at work. I have three nieces and a cousin all trying to hit me up as it is, and I bought two boxes from each.
Those cookies aren't cheap anymore!

In front of the library and grocery store. And since I stop at both places during my Saturday errands, I get mugged twice. Girl Scouts with switch blades and bicycle tires don't mix well.
