4. Hey, it happens.

I voted for him in the primary, and notwithstanding his personal behavior, I still like a lot of what he said about addressing poverty in America.

Unfortunately, his personal misdeeds will probably overshadow his message and he has ruined his reputation out of his own doing, likely forever. I hope that he and his family come to some sort of peace with each other and move on with their private lives in whatever way possible.

As for your step mother, like she has room to speak. She belongs to the party of Craig, Sanford, Ensign and lord knows who else.

Can you accept with grace and dignity the fact that you were deceived? Are you able to take not only the good about a person, but the bad as well? Can you say "You were right" without compromising your priniciples? You just might take away from this episode a terrific opportunity to model some behavior you'd really like to see from your stepmother, who no doubt thinks Glenn Beck walks on water and the sun shines out Rush Limbaugh's ass. Her time will come, bet on it. Who will face a reversal acting like an adult, and who will be the petulant child?
