What is your personal opinion on your favorite band/singer's least appreciated album?

Based on the general consensus of the fans, that is. Do you agree with the consensus or disagree with the consensus?

For example, many Pumpkins fans skewered Machina. However, I personally find it to be their fourth best album, besides Siamese Dream, Mellon Collie and Pisces Iscariot. It's heavy on production and Sonic Youth-esqe distortion, and occassionaly suffers from Corgan's tendancy for over-indulgance, but I think that all but adds to the albums' greatness. I remember being blown away the first time I heard it, and I'm still impressed every time I listened to it. I don't know why it is not appreciated more than it should be, even by fellow Pumpkin's fans.

But 'Axis: Bold as Love' seems to get lost between the Experience's debut album, 'Are you Experienced?' and their last studio album (while Jimi was alive) 'Electric Ladyland.'



Of course, I love anything "Hendrix" related that I can listen to, but I always feel like I am listening to something that seems to be largely forgotten by the mainstream when I listen to Axis.
