Any one here have a blueray player that can receive Netflix.

I was looking at different brands yesterday.

The players had Wi-Fi.

Now that I have Netflix I might upgrade to blueray.

I have a 1080 p tv.

Any good brands to look for.

we have perused all of Torchwood and Primevil (a few episodes are not available).

p.s. it receives youtube (the videos, not the whole page)...and Pandora, not the planet, I suppose.:)

5. I bought mine a day before I learned that that was even an option.

Been kicking myself ever since; but on the other hand, it's saving me all the money I'd be spending on netflix, so maybe it works out.

7. I have the $8.99 per month option.

I have been watching movies and shows online on the laptop.

The instant watching is great.

Some shows are still on dvds to be sent out but there is a lot to watch online.

8. My friend just bought one, and asked me to help him set it up. We

had to get an adapter, since he got an older technology model, even tho' he just got it new from the store. A game type adapter.
But then he still couldn't get it done, as he is not particularly technologically savvy. So now what he will do with it I don't know. Probably just let it sit there.
You need to be sure that all the components will be compatible with each other, and then you have to pay the monthly fee.
Or, if you don't use the download feature, you can still use mail and just play the discs. There may be some advantage to that.

9. I'm considering the same and here are the ones I'm looking at:

LG bd390: has both of my main requirements- wi-fi and Netflix streaming (also has other features). Good reviews on CNET. I'm leaning towards buying this player.

Samsung BD3600: also has wi-fi and Netflix streaming (other features as well). Good reviews from the editors at CNET, but customers seem to be experiencing major problems with this player. Based on the horror stories I've read, I'm going to avoid this player although it sounds like if you get "one of the good ones" it is really nice.

Playstation 3: Also has wi-fi and Netflix streaming. In order to use Netflix, you need to order a special disc from Netflix (it's free, never has to be returned, and doesn't count against your plan). The PS3 Bluray player is considered one of the best on the market, plus it's a gaming machine which means extra fun! I'm not a big gamer, but I may end up getting the PS3 simply because it's the best overall value for the money ($299). The only thing that is dissuading me is that I'm not sure if there is an included remote with the PS3, which is kind of a pain in the butt.

I would definitely take a look at all of these, even if you think you'll never use the PS3 as a gaming machine. Good luck and if you make a decision, please let us know how you like it.

10. Netflix streaming is great. I have a Panasonic Blu Ray that will do it,

but I use a Roku set top box with my 50" plasma to use Netflix streaming as well as others such as Amazon where I rented the HD version of Terminator: Salvation and it looked great. I've used my Roku box to connect to my tvs in my 2 bedrooms.
