A wiley and excellent boy cat's work is never done,
so sayeth The Wiley and Excellent Boy Cat Named Ginger, who had to stop in the middle of scratching the fence rails to release his weariness. :D

4. NIce picture.
It makes me laugh that my cat can be at a full trot when he suddenly remembers that he needs to stretch his hind legs.

Ginger's thing is to be at full trot, then abruptly halt to lick his left front "hand."

12. He gets a lot of "Dracula" and "Catula" teasing from our goddaughters.
You people have no regard for this fine feline's dignity.

In which Ginger does not seem to notice that he has sand on his nose.

18. I'm sorry Aslan is no longer with you, caitxrawks. HOWEVER,
you do have a beautiful little daughter. I know it's not the same as being handmaiden to a regal feline, but the next best thing, maybe? ;)

I bet Aslan misses you, too.

.
...no, I did NOT pose for that.

.
.
Although... I must say... if anyone were to actually see me
naked from the waist up, I would be in mighty high demand
as a man-boob model.
.
Mighty high.

The Cindy Crawford/Cheryl Tiegs/Kate Moss of man-boob
models, thankyouverymuch.

OK, OK. Kate Moss... ... ...not so much.

26. Oh, sweet cat-jeebus!
D and I were just having this discussion five minutes ago on the patio after dinner. However, we agree that cats are more highly evolved than humans, having developed all of the physical traits to make us love and care for them. Were we humans more highly evolved, WE would have developed such desirable traits and cats would be caring for US. :yoiks:

28. She does things I've never had any cat do before.
Her sister, Lucy, is such a typical cat. Meows and yowls for food and attention. If I stop petting her, she gets up and walks away. (She used to bat me right in the nose when she was a baby! LOL)

But Lena is very quiet all of the time. She almost NEVER meows. She will lay in bed with me at night and search my eyes and face in the semi-darkness so intently like she is studying me, trying to know me more deeply. It's very strange but at the same time very nice.

30. Yep. Ginger's all about wanting to know me DEEPLY.
He's either searching for ways to exploit my weaknesses or plotting my death. I suspect it's the previous, because if I'm dead, nobody's gonna boil Alaska perch at 5:30 a.m., blow it to a cool but stll warm temp, and serve near the toasty radiator for Ginger's convenience.

The only thing saving my life is my extremely coachable nature.

Granite center posts, with wood rails. Ginger is working hard to reduce the rails to fence posts. I expect to get an invoice for rail replacement from our neighbors in the spring.
