6. DU really ought to be 100% gonzo territory...
Him and the "girls"

Gonzo is known for his wild-eyed, optimistic attitude, yet he is also something of an intellectual. In his revised incarnation, Gonzo, rather than feeling misunderstood by the audience, was dedicated to performing for its own sake, regardless of audience reaction. In one episode, after Kermit decides to cancel a jousting sketch, Gonzo, in armor for the sketch, forces Kermit, at lance-point, to reverse the decision. Floyd Pepper, also in armor for the sketch, observes the exchange with amusement, then asks Gonzo, regarding the sketch, "Do you really think this will work?" Gonzo replies "No! Isn't it great?!"

16. Actually, I love Grover and Gonzo, but had to vote for Gonzo
because he wasn't getting any love? A Grover finger puppet helped me get through my tonsilectomy when I was 5 (and Gonzo hadn't been invented yet), but how can you not fall in love with a purple bird who is so cute and schleprock like?

18. I love Fozzie.
He gets heckled all the time by those two guys in the balcony, but he keeps right on telling jokes. And he took everyone to his momma bear's farm for Christmas. What a good friend.
