I've known lots of them. I'm sure you have too. Is it learned? Is it inherited? It's very annoying.

Edited on Thu Jan-28-10 03:31 PM by Javaman
moron: someone who does something wrong but doesn't know it.

idiot: someone who does something wrong but does it anyway.

jerk: someone who does something wrong, knows it's wrong but does it anyway.

fucking jerk: someone who does something wrong, knows it's wrong, does it anyway and enjoys it.

asshole: someone who purposely does something wrong, knows it's wrong, does it anyway, but not only enjoys it, but finds creative ways to make it worse.

fucking asshole: same as above but gets paid for it.

The damn thing is more contagious than swine flu.

13. Same as the narcissism thread yesterday--both traits are caused by sheer awesomeness.
You can't be an asshole until you're convinced you're awesome. The only way to protect yourself from these people is to work tirelessly to lower the self esteem of everyone you meet.

16. Several things
1 - Believing that cutting taxes on the rich will help the poor to become rich.
2 - Believing that military action anywhere on the planet for any reason makes us safe.
3 - Arguing for the sanctity of life, while see #2 above.
4 - Arguing that your ancient belief system should be given equal weight against modern science.
5 - You get the idea.

19. Many think it is the family - Asshole parents raise asshole children.
But this begs the nature/nurture question.....have to get some asshole to figure that one out.

I am not a shrink, but I used to work with some.
REAL assholes, if you ask me...
