8. Probably
but I never knew his first name until now. I wasn't a fan of 10cc; just Godley & Creme :D

10. first I knew of Godley & Creme
was when I was working as a puppeteer and a colleague played me "I Pity Inanimate Objects". It was for a her a kind of anthem for our trade, us being in the business of making objects seem alive and sentient.

I pity inanimate objects
Because they can't move
From specks of dust to paperweights
Or a pound note sealed in resin
Plastic Santas in perpetual underwater snowstorms
Sculptures that appear to be moving
But aren't
I feel sorry for them all
What are they thinking
When they arrive at a place
Do they sigh with disappointment
And when they leave
Do they have regrets?
Is a sofa as happy in one corner
As it is in another
And how does the room feel about it?
I pity inanimate objects
I pity inanimate objects
I pity inanimate objects
I pity them all
Physics isn't fair
Is a tree as a rocking horse
An ambition fulfilled
And is the sawdust jealous?
I worry about these things
Peppercorns don't move
Until they contaminate the ice-cream
Three weeks later
Is the gold in Fort Knox happy gold?
I care about these things
Some things are better left alone
Grains of sand prefer their own company
But magnets are two faced
No choice for sugar
But what choice could there be
But to drown in coffee or to drown in tea
The frustrations of being inanimate
Maybe its better that way
The fewer the moving parts
The less there is to go wrong
I wonder about these things
I pity inanimate objects
I pity inanimate objects
I pity inanimate objects
I pity them all

11. I remember that song!
It was one of my favorites as well, simply because it wasn't yet another love song ;)

That's one reason I've always liked "alternative" bands and music; they don't write songs that consist of common, everyday, corporate product.

Such as Be Bop Deluxe - Furniture Music

I get so tired of my room
It makes the same sounds every day
Sometimes I move my things around
It helps eliminate the boredom

There is no order in my room
A place where accidents can happen
I like the table and my chair
Sometimes I listen to their pattern

Furniture music
I make furniture music
I like furniture music... OK?

I sit alone inside my room
It makes me feel as if I'm happy
Sometimes when I have time to kill
I watch the world outside my window

It never rains inside my room
My carpet is the color green
There is a lock on every door
One never knows what things may happen

Furniture music
I make furniture music
I like furniture music... OK

My room has the modern style of interior decoration
My room is a model of design
When I'm feeling happy I make furniture music
When I'm feeling sad I watch the rain

I like to read books in my room
It helps me in my quest for knowledge
Sometimes I think about my life
The source of all my inspiration

There is a clock upon the wall
I light a fire in the winter
Its light illuminates my room
And throws my shadow in the corner

Furniture music
I make furniture music
I like furniture music
I am furniture

12. Great song from the period when Dave thought Jimmy Page had placed a curse upon him
Cocaine is indeed a hell of a drug
