I don't think this is really very funny.

Lots of Du'ers, including myself, have struggled to find any employment after being canned. Those of us that have found jobs often find ourselves at 1/3 the hourly pay we once had, with no benefits, no retirement, etc.

As someone who literally has a thankless job, I have little sympathy for someone who hates their job. As a PhD I have trouble "liking" throwing vegetables at the wall of a grocery store, but it staves off bankruptcy.
