Drinking games that don't spread mono and flu...what's your favorite?
My favorite drinking game was always Buzz...

you gather three or four people in a circle. Then you start counting going clockwise. When the count reaches seven, multiples of seven, double numbers or numbers with seven in them, you say Buzz and the counting reverses--going counterclockwise if you were going clockwise in the first place, or vice versa. If someone screws up the count, he drinks and the count restarts at one.

1. Zoom...
People sit around a table in a circle. Whoever is "it" starts by saying "Zoom" and looking at the person you are passing to.

The response can be one of the following:

Schwartz - pass back to the person who passed to you.

Figliano - pass to the left

Biederman - pass to the right

Whoever pauses long enough drinks and is "it".

2. Thumb Master
but I haven't played that in freaking years...whoever is the last person to have their thumb resting on the side of the table has to drink their glass of beer. PSA: DON'T PLAY DRINKING GAMES INVOLVING ALCOHOL. THEY CAN KILL YOU!

3. "What the fuck."
Edited on Fri Jan-29-10 04:52 PM by Brickbat
Before you start, every one establishes their "name" -- dirty fuck, nasty fuck, lazy fuck, pity fuck, whatever. The first person starts by saying, "Oh fuck, what the fuck, I wish I had a" and then "names" someone. The person who is named repeats her own name and picks up the rhyme and then names someone else, and if you miss your cue or screw up the rhyme, you drink. So it sounds like this:

Person starts: Oh fuck, what the fuck, I wish I had a hot fuck.

Hot Fuck: Hot fuck, what the fuck, you know I am a good fuck.

Good Fuck: Good fuck, what the fuck, last night I got a pity fuck.

Pity Fuck: Pity fuck, what the fuck, your brother is a lazy fuck.

Until someone screws up. You go faster and faster. Wow, typing it out makes it look really raunchy, but then, it was a broomball party I was at. Lots of fun, and lots of people who knew how to drink a lot without getting stupid or dangerous.

6. Well, that rules out fucking.
My fave game was always a game called Mexican (I've no idea why). You take two dice and cover them so only the roller knows what they are. Say I roll a 5 and a 3. The high number is always tens and the low number is ones, so it equals 53. I keep the dice covered and tell the person to my left I have 53...or whatever I feel like making up. That person can call the bluff or not. If they're wrong they drink. If not, you do. Or they can accept your call without looking at your roll and try to beat it for the person to their left.

It was the first game to make me puke blood, so you know it's good. :)

7. Except that (at least in CT) a one-two is a "Mexican"

and outranks everything else.

The one time I played it was against some guy who was seeing someone I liked, part of our school's volleyball team. :grr: Getting a Mexican to beat his sorry ass was satisfying indeed!

Factoid: This took place at our "Spring Fling", featuring Orleans, with John Hall -- now, of course, a Democratic rep from NY's 19th District (the Fightin' 19th!).

Michele transferred out the next year. :( Wonder whatever happened to her?
