1. Brad Pitt
Who's the guy in the photo? He must be terrible if he's overrated, because I don't even recognize him. ;)

3. Tom Cruise
Not because he's a nutjob, it's because in every movie he's in, he plays...Tom Cruise.

15. Yup.
I thought he did a fine job of playing a dim-witted slacker in the "Bill and Ted" films. The others, eh. Granted, his slacker didn't hold a candle to Sean Penn's character in "Fast Times at Ridgemont High."

Beyond that, I absolutely loved her in 'Lost in Translation', which for me is one of the best movies of the 00's.

She's been in one good movie, that's it. Still, you have to admire her other assets.

This one says somebody named "John BARROWMAN" whoever that is.

10. Anthony Hopkins
specifically for his performance in Legends of the Fall especially towards the end. It is a hamfest of the highest order.

Then he has to be held responsible for being in The Edge.

He may be taking a page from Michael Caine who is completely unappologetic about appearing in crap (Jaws 3) because he says that's how he affords to be in great small films like Little Voice.

"I was watching the video of my friend's wedding the other day and dammit if Michael Caine wasn't in it!"

Hopkins is a great answer, btw.

28. You heretic.
Michael Caine was in Jaws 4: The Revenge and not Jaws 3-D.

This is a matter of utmost importance.

23. Bizarre answers, because most people make fun of the actors being suggested here.
Brad Pitt, Tom Cruise--considered great actors?

I thought you were talking about serious actors, like Al Pacino who made the disastrous 88 Minutes and the pathetic remake of Insomnia.

Anthony Hopkins is a much better choice. He IS vastly over-rated.

29. Weird that you'd cite Insomnia--which was in fact excellent--while omitting S1m0ne
Edited on Mon Feb-01-10 11:54 PM by Orrex

Also, in his time, Hopkins has given numerous performances any one of which would have been a career high-point for most other actors.

But he's also been in some unforgivable drek, a la Freejack...
