A day or so ago, I checked it out, and someone was gloating over the Israeli op against Sheik Ahmed Yassin.

The exact words used to describe it? " ... it was glorious!"

I could understand someone saying it was an "unavoidable tragedy" or a "necessary evil", but "glorious"?

13. It's not the politics

The sad part is how the groups take such delight in the deaths of their "enemies". I use the word guardedly, because by rights the Arabs and Israelis ought to consider themselves brothers.

It's not a debate over who did what to whom, and how bad one side or the other has suffered -- it's over the morality of warfare, for both sides in the conflict.

For all his faults, Bill Clinton at least understood the necessity for reconciliation between enemies. The irony is that Clinton's greatest legacy may not be economic, but moral. It's a sad irony because with all the gravitas-bound, Jesus-simple politicians in this country, and all the fanaticism in the middle east, it took a morally reviled man like Clinton to advance the process of peace and reconciliation in the middle east, in Ireland, and in several other hotspots around the globe.

But I'm just babbling ... back to discussions of greater import. Like the propriety of Matcom's animated ass. :)
