most emotional you have ever gotten because of a video game?
happy, sad, angry, sleepy, whatever...

this may not apply exactly to the above question but I would have to say back when I was in school, a buddy of mine and I were playing Madden 95 or 96. We had been playing all day and it was the last game of the evening. It was our so-called Superbowl. I had the Dolphins and he had the Raiders. It was a close game and I was up by 4 with I think like two minutes left. He was trying to drive down for the win when I intercepted his pass. On the ensuing play, I threw a little TE post for a few yards. MY friend took his player after the play and ran up and took out my Dan Marino (that was the year where there were no 15 yard penalties for late hits in that version). I swear I could hear a snap and all of a sudden Danny was still laying on the ground and he was injured. I was so pissed that I punched him. He came back at me and we fought like animals for like 10 minutes. Finally, we looked at each other and saw how stupid we were but we had so much emotion in that game. Those were the days :toast:

2. LOL
The Mortal Kombat games. Dying on those games can feel like real death in the emotion department. Anger. Deep Anger.

3. I'm a nerd, I know, but it was when I played Dark Age of Camelot.
I never went to the Realm vs. Realm battlefields for a looong time. I just grouped with people to do PvE stuff, like in dungeons. The first time I did Realm vs. Realm, I was about level 30 and it was very exciting. Running accross a plain with 50 other people to storm a castle... :D Very fun.

4. I cried at the end of Zelda: Wind Waker
*spoilers*

The poor King of Hyrule, drowning with his kingdom! I know he had his reasons, but why didn't he go with Link and Tetra?

And when Link's little sister Aryll waved to him from the pirate ship at the end.. I'm such a softy, and she's so sweet! That, and the music during game and the credits kept ratcheting-up the emotional level. I don't say this about many people, but may Koji Kondo (Nintendo's Zelda composer) live to be a thousand years old!

Don't get me started on the 'Legend of Zelda' series.. I can drone on-and-on about how much joy it's brought to me. :loveya:

5. When I used to MUD
I would get furious at people trying to playerkill me, mainly because I wanted to be left alone to treasure hunt. Got to the point where I wouldn't go on any MUD that allowed PvP.

Then I kicked the habit entirely :) Sooo addictive.

6. I broke my old Super Nintendo
in a video game tiff. I believe it was Donkey King Country that set me off. I can't imagine that game had such a hold over me but it did.

I find myself becoming increasingly aloof when it comes to games and I hardly play them anymore.

11. OK, I cried in Final Fantasy VIII- twice
mostly because of the song. The first time was during the floating in space sequence and the second was over the end credits.

Sniff, sniff.
