5. A North American team will win the World Series
South America, Europe and Asia won't even make it into the playoffs.

6. I don't want to hear any "bandwagon" stuff
But my Yankees are gonna take it this year. I have been a fan as long as I can remember, even through the rough years. The last decade or so has been a good time!

12. "Rough Years" for the Yankees?
Thanks for the chuckle. I've been a Phillie fan for more than 40 years. I don't want to hear a Yankee Fan whining about the rough years. I'll stay on the Phillie Bandwagon. Besides, who keeps up with the sissy american league and their sissy designated hitter rule?

13. Yes, Phillies fans know about rough years
Red Sox and Cubs fans talk about the droughts. At least your teams have been good. In 120 years, the Phillies have been good for about 10 and adequate for about 10 more.

Although, I'm worried about how excited I am for the Phillies this year. I really should know better by now.

18. I'd show you a picture of the World Champion Cubs but ...
camera hadn't been invented yet.

I do think there are some cave paintings of the Cubs when they won their last world series.

29. Don't worry, we'll beat the Brewers for fourth.
Hell, if Griffey and Kearns stay healthy, and if Dunn can hit .240 (with his homers and walks, he'd be a mighty big badass at .240 -- think Mike Schmidt); we may take third.

I'm serious.

Cards and 'Stros have lots of questions. Cubs have 2 left-handed bats worth a damn (Patterson has never played a full season, and has holes the size of Mack trucks at the plate; and Walker can't play second to save his ass), and besides -- with Dusty Baker managing, I wouldn't be surprised if Prior, Wood, AND Zambrano blow out their arms this year.

Chicago, Houston, and St. Louis all have better teams than Cincinnati. However, IF the Reds play as well as they can (that's a big "if") AND IF one of the big three stumble (more likely than you might think), the Reds could come in third.

33. Nah. They're mostly done trading (most of the roster is cheap).
They may trade Griffey to an AL team (he may play a full season as a DH!), but that's about it.

Kearns and Dunn are still young and inexpensive. The only other big salary is Casey -- yeah, he hits .300, but it's an empty .300 with no patience or power. Nobody's gonna take on that contract for a singles-hitting 1B.

We all know neither the Sox, nor the Cubs, will win. It's just not gonna happen.

20. Keep the faith
One advantage to being a Red Sox fan is this: if you guys do make the world series, I can promise you the entire country almost will be pulling for you to win it. Same for the Cubs.

It's gotta happen sooner or later. If not this year then next.

The Rockies should try to bring Ken Griffey Jr in to revive his career, he has always had success @ Coors Field. Anyways, Rockies all the way!
