11. They make good cat toys
put a feather or a catnip mouse on the end and play with kitty.

4. Zero
Have to admit I was tempted to buy a 30-in-1 handy dandy pocket gadget after zombie-ing out to the late late late show, but I never did.

12. "Set it...AND FORGET IT!!!"
Hell, I'm actually tempted to buy one of those Ronco roasters. I read in some well-respected cooking magazine that they're actually pretty good---despite the cheesy infomercials I've seen about a million times.

There was a very entertaining piece in The New Yorker a year or so ago about the whole history of RONCO, and Ron Popei, or whatever his name is. He comes from a long line of carny hucksters! Ain't America grand?

14. We love ours
We've got the rotisserie. We love it. Food tastes good, doesn't heat up the whole house to use it, easy cleanup.

Yes, you can Set It and Forget It (well, don't leave the house).

13. Always wanted a veg-o-matic
but I've never been able to shake the image that Ron Popeil is Jimmy Swaggert with an apron.

SET IT....AND FORGET IT!

15. Zip. Zero. Zilch.
I once worked in a department headed up by two guys who did the original ads for those products, back when they were young. They called themselves the Popeil Brothers, and what a pair of bastards they were. Can't ever see those products without thinking of Ralph #@#$#@! and Tom #$&!
