Stahl was going to be on his show yesterday morning and she cancelled at the last minute, saying that she needed to do some shoots for 48 Hours or whatever show she is on. Imus attributed her cancellation to his decision to question her about the conflict of interest he sees between CBS and Simon and Shuster, which are both owned by Viacom. (For the record, WFAN, Imus' home station, is also owned by Viacom and he has a book contract with Simon and Shuster.)

Imus insisted that her reason for not coming on the show was phony and that she was just trying to avoid his wrath. Always remember: Mr. Imus thinks he is the center of the universe.
