Poll question: What should I do about my bad haircut?

The same stylist did a great job last time: it parted naturally, lay flat, and grew out great. This time, blecch: the part won't hold, and the hair sticks out in all directions: I always look like I just woke up

The ONE good thing about a bad haircut: hair grows.

Can you cut it some more, and just wear it very short?

You know, sort of military style? Or would that freak you, and everyone who knows you, out?

This is not the kind of question I commonly ask in commercial transactions: Um .. about your butt .. Is it real .. or .. um .. is it, like, virtual? And I'm afraid it invites a retort such as Only your hairdresser knows for sure

9. Hair gel. Lots and lots of hair gel.

Just go to Sally Beauty Supply and buy a quart of the shit. If your hair refuses to do what you want, glue it in place until it realizes you're in charge.

Could you please post a picture so we can see the extent of the damage? I don't agree that you should shave it off, but you might have to go to "finger length"--the stylist puts her hand against your head, traps some hair between two fingers and snips it off right across the tops of her fingers.

14. Other. You have GOT to find a friend or relative who can FIX bad

haircuts. I did it all the time for my boys. Thankfully my husband's hair is so nice that he can manage even a bad cut. But my boys both have really thick wavy hair that a stylist could TOTALLY ruin. You know, too close cut on the sides and the top too long so they looked like roosters or something. Or not close enough on the sides and in back and too short on top so they looked like they were trying to grow a Mullet. And OMG it was a real treat seeing them in the morning with a bad cut. :rofl:
