I'm going to Protest Bush Tomorrow. Suggestions from Veteran Protesters?

United for Peace, Cambridge Friends, AFL-CIO, and other unions are organizing protests for Bush's $2000 per plate fundraiser. He is going to fuck up traffic royally and inconvenience a great many cranky Bostonians.

I know we'll probably be rounded into 'free speech zones', but I was going to try to get closer by looking like a supporter.

Any suggestions?

2. Well, not one anti-Bush protester will be able to get near him

so, I want his entourage to hear how much he's not welcome in Boston.

4. Politely ask what's on the other side of a Free Speech Zone.

Wear a t-shirt with your message on it, but wear something over it until you get in close.

Maybe you can rig up a sign that can be folded to reveal a different message underneath.

Do what the police say, no matter what. Arrests don't help and only marginalize us.

I doubt Boston will turn ugly the way Florida did. If you see riot gear, get out of there.

possible weapons, so I won't be risking arrest!

and take lots of unflattering photos of Freepers and post em here when you get back.
