Anyone had arthroscopic knee surgery?

Hi , Tony and Dietrich here.
Just wondering if anyone has had arthroscopic on their knee? The doctor claims the procedures really improved since I had my other knee done back in the late 80's.
Anyway, all these years of walking into things has taken its toll on my right knee. I'm having it done tomorrow. Looks like degeneration of my minusca (?) ligament.
Doc claims a lot of people are up in about in a couple of days, and dont' even need crutches.

They also want you to fill out a living will form. Such fun since I hit 50.

1. I was prepared to have it but didn't eventually need it. But I was told

it's like you said with terrific results. You will need physical therapy of course, so it's a good idea to build up your leg muscles weeks before surgery to help your post-surgery stage.

And by all means, do the living will AND health proxy forms. This way you will be able to get the treatment you want, not someone either second-guessing what you'd want or what he/she would want.

2. Piece of cake!

I had it done on my right knee on a Thursday and was walking almost normally by Monday immediately following. I also didn't need any prescription pain medication, just ibuprofen. :)

3. I had it done 3 years ago....

I was back skiing 6 months later. Make sure you are diligent with the physical therapy...it makes all the difference.
