Poll question: Moral Question.
Edited on Wed Mar-24-04 08:16 PM by LeviathanCrumbling
If you were a college student, and you were offered a job working for the administration that could really help your career would you take it?

Some factors that must be considered are you hate the administration and everything it stands for, and you are very sure they only offered you the job because you are a minority.

1. I would take the job
Then quit and bring out the truth when they do something illegal or unethical.
Wouldn't it be great if we had a couple of people who would tell the truth about those bastards.

3. Is this about Colin Powell?
Sure seems like his choices.

4. No, I think that the seduction of Powell was more subtle and long term.
I seems like Powell never had a moment where he signed his soul away, but that after years of thinking he was a good guy he realized that he had crossed over the line and that he could never cross back.

5. Ah, but that's how your scenario works, too
Powell had the moment when he publicly decided to join the Republicans. Remember him saying he agreed more with the Democrats, but he was becoming a Republican because he thought they had the energy, and he would work from the inside to change them?

He changed. You always do.

6. You make a good point, and a damn scary one too.
My momma always said if you lay down with dog you will get up with fleas. I guess if you lay down with the devil you have to expect to get up and be evil.

7. I'd take the job as their token homo..
and keep a paper record of EVERYTHING. Actually, I'd keep several paper records. Memos, tape recordings, etc. EVERYTHING. Then, when the timing got to be the very worst for them, I'd totally blow everything as wide open as I could.

8. Yeah, but that also sounds like a quick way
to end up in a shallow grave.

9. If I could transform myself
I'd aim for being Dubya's "Monica Lewinsky"....and I'd probably have to be an alcoholic to deal with the more "sensitive" matters...afterward.
