I love getting the fresh nuts over here... cracking them open then shaving the pungent contents into whatever. Just a little though, it's very strong.

Another awesome use is to take the nuts (they are dead cheap here) and use them a smoke wood when grilling. It tastes awesome with fish and chicken. I would usually use a combination of cinnamon bark and nutmeg nuts.

and yes I love nutmeg, my mother's family were nutmeggers for nearly 300 years until 1924.
