and this asshole LAID on the horn LOUD and LONG because this elderly man wouldn't cut it close and turn left on green.

My Uncle said that if anyone ever does that to my Grandfather, he would get out of the car and punch the guy in the mouth.

a very nice guy. Never realized he could speak a WORD of German
until the day he helped us move into our apartment. He had parked
in such a way that he had blocked the driveway leading into the
courtyard parking lot for residents(we had a few items of furniture
on that run).

One of the other residents drove up and honked... a LEETLE long
for the circumstances... but my soon-to-be father-in-law just put
his hand on his chest in a gesture of apology and got into the car
to move it.

AS he was climbing in, my neighbor honked for a good five seconds or
more. Which gave my FIL enough time to get outta his car. He walked
quickly back, and my neighbor locked his door and, trapped by traffic,
just stared straight ahead -- terrified.

My FIL impressed the HELL out of me with his command of German...
insulting not only my neighbor, but his dog, his mom, his MOM'S dog...
you name it.

I was awestruck... and realized that, if for no OTHER reason... this
demonstration of righteous anger and ability was enough of a reason to
never treat his little girl badly.

Bet HE coulda BOPPED the front of that car and set the airbags off...
if they had existed back then.
