I think they come up with some catchy stuff, but I've learned that many of the elements of their music are borrowed from African pop music. Someone here described them as throwing Elvis Costello and Afro-pop in a blender and mixing it up. I still like their first album, though, and I'm contemplating buying their new one.

The new songs kind of smooth out their quirks too much, but I'm thinking of buying the first one.
