It's about time the Oscars acknowledged horror films.

8. Just after they said no horror film had been represented since The Exorcist.

When they made that comment, I thought "They must not consider 'Silence of the Lambs' horror." Then they showed it in the horror montage.

It was a weird segment. I guess it was at least movie themed, which is better than some of the goofy song and dance routines we've seen at past shows.

With most I could see where an argument could be made, even if I wouldn't call them horror. But Edward Scissorhands isn't even close.

9. Nice montage but started it with a lie

Saying The Exorcist was the last horror film honored and then showing a montage with a shot from Silence of the Lambs was kind of stupid.

Silence of the Lambs won best picture, director, adapted screenplay and the top two acting awards in 1992.

15. Yeah...if you're going to include it in a horror montage, then credit it as a horror movie.

But it generally is categorized as a thriller and not a horror film. The Exorcist is the last true horror film to do anything at the Oscars.
