What is the nicest thing someone has done for you lately?

With 9/11, *s ongoing bullshit .it`s time for a break and think happy thoughts .For me at least.
The nicest thing anyone has done for me lately was I was dressed in ragged jeans and old shoes as I was doing some pottery repair.
I ran out of milk so I ran to the store.Behind me were 4 teenagers.
I didn`t want to break a 50.00 so I was counting out change .The teenagers were watching me.One finally stepped foreward and said heres 3 bux you can have it.
What a wonderful thing for him to do.He thought I didnt have enough money to pay for the milk .
There are way too many stories about how terrible todays kids are.I do not find that the case.
What are your run ins with the better side of humanity ?

A lot of times, I'm very proud of my generation. I'm glad not everyone thinks that teenagers are selfish and terrible. :)

I think they are rather astute and alot less self involved then alot of adults I know.

3. My dog's groomer told me to give my dog a big kiss.

He's had surgery recently. Yesterday, I called to reschedule his next appointment. She was so genuinely concerned and it showed. I really appreciated her kind words. They meant a lot.

Also, I try to be nice to folks I deal with regularly-or, not. Tonight at the market, I asked the checker how HER day was going. She told me people were really acting crabby, lately. I told her to not let it bother her. I know she appreciated MY concern for HER. And, I truly cared that she was having a bad day. I tried joke with her to cheer HER up...and, I know it made a difference.

If each of us can be civil and nice to those with whom we are in daily contact...well, we as individuals (and the world) will be a whole lot better off. :-)

5. That is just too cool

You are right though.Be nice and most people will pass it on.
I noticed it was amazing just to smile at a person makes them smile.I notice at times even standing in line at the bank its like people are afraid to talk to each other.Its like we have become rather isolated as a society.It dehumanizes everyone.We are so distant in our cars ,in our suburbs ,on the internet we at times lose track of the fact there is a live breathing human that has feelings on the phone ,across the fence , in that car that just cut you off.
