Good bye Desiree
I don't expect anyone to notice, no one noticed her except me, her former boyfriend, and her family that never gave a shit.

She was a heroin addict. For many years.

She gave it up, and I tried to help.

She moved, and she died.

yesterday.

She had, for many years, a thriving business in Seattle.

She, at the end was living in a wrecked RV.

They found her yesterday.

Now the family seems to care! The parents in NY want her body shipped there! Her brother told me her happyist times were in Seattle, so he wants to cremate and spread her ashes over Lake Union.

I know nobody knew her, but she was a good person, and she isn't around anymore.

I am hurting because I knew her, and I knew what was inside of her. Love, caring, understanding.

Good bye Desiree!

3. thank you for your thoughts
there are so many.

Good, loving, caring people that only need some stability.

I am not often moved by what happens to people, because many times it happens of their own choice, but I just feel the deck was stacked against her.

She was hit by a car two weeks ago. She couldn't make it to her doc's for meds.

I believe she self medicated to the point it killed her, and it is hurting me. I am truly hurting.

2. Lilith
Dedicated to my beloved Lilith, who died in an accident in 1996:

Lilith

Kneeling beside you once
again, I feel myself alive
again. Hands dug in,
I feel inside of you¸
again.

(chorus x2)
Lilith, can you see me,
can you see me drowning in sin,
the same way you drown,
without me, in sin

Watching the horizon birth
again, I hide inside you,
again. Arms open wide,
I slide against you,
again

(chorus x2)
Lilith, can you see me,
can you see me dying alone
the same way you died
without me, alone

Waiting to see you dance
again, I cry myself to sleep
again, Eyes closed tight,
I whisper prayer for you,
again

(chorus x2)
Lilith, can you see me,
can you see me breaking apart,
the same way you broke
without me, apart

I cannot but take of you
again, I want a chance
to die of circumstance,
the way you died,
without me, alone.

5. Not too far from here
is a cemetery that is on private land. There are many graves, maybe 30, and some are just rocks with the person's name carved on. These are from the early 1900's. Nobody has a clue who they were.

someone needs to care about everyone. It has to happen.

someone needs to be everyone.

7. her mother was from Russia
and her given name was Kathryn.

She always wanted only to be accepted.

She never found a place.

I talked to her case worker at the homeless shelter, and she told me that Desiree had an impact on everyone staying there, because she wouldn't stop telling everyone how to make things better.

That's how I remember her.

Always having to deal with troubles, but working through it.

I don't think it's suicide, intentionally anyway.

She was young, comparitively speaking.

I want people to understand.

I want myself to understand.

whatever comes your way, if it is good, hold on. And if you can't, at least remember.
