Tonight - about a dozen fire trucks and ambulances drove through town - full lights and sirens to celebrate a local sports victory.
Boy does this come under the heading - WHAT THE FUCK WERE THEY THINKING!
I thought the world was ending. I tried to call a neighbor and all circuits were busy.
I would hate to be the mayor tomorrow morning. ( And I really like her - she just married us last month )

I've been there - those huge fires that were in Orange County back in 2008? They were literally in my back yard. The hills on the other side of the street were up in flames by the time we had to evacuate.
The fact that the fire trucks were used to do something like that, that's just totally reckless and irresponsible.

2. I don't begrudge them their victory parade |

But they could have so easilly avoided going through this part of town where people are hurting from such a huge loss. Maybe they thought since no one was physically hurt...I don't know. It will be intersting to see if there's any fall out.
