1. This is the thing that grinds me
Free speech allows believers to dominate the airwaves and media. That is fine and good. Its their right and I will defend them. But when they complain that their first ammendment rights are being violated because they cannot impose their beliefs in government functions I just gotta say :wtf: .

11. ummmm.....
Hey Az,

Not sure what your problem is here...why would a special on foods mentioned in literature be a problem? I don't think this rises to the level of indoctrination :-) I would like to see if there is a special scheduled in the future on the miracle foods of the atheist...buddhist...wiccan...you get the picture :-)

MMMMMmmmmm ... quince...

16. Its no problem
As I said, I defend the practice. Its their right to voice their opinions. My grind is when they complain about their 1st ammendment rights being violated when they can't use the government to force their positions.

I mean to say, they have the freedom to speak their mind in all the world. They just cannot use the government as their pulpit.

that Eve took at the suggestion of the serpent in the garden...I have yet to be able to find a reference to the actual fruit but quince is the one that it is suggested to be. All vegetation was supposedly in the garden...asian or no

32. You either have to cook 'em or have the jaws of a Pit Bull....
They smell wonderful, have a great flavour, but they are as HARD AS A ROCK!

We had a Quince tree on the farm, and my Bro and I, Seeings how Sibs Will Be Sibs, discovered they were the ultimate in throwing weapons.

19. I'm VERY surprised they don't include "Scripture Cake"
That is a dessert cake very popular in the South. Most Southern cookbooks have a recipe for it. It includes items such as flour, eggs, leavening, salt, figs, raisins, dates, etc.

The key to this recipe is that each item is mentioned by the Biblical scripture where you find the food item.

Here is one such recipe. Supposedly, this is the recipe favored by Dolly Madison, wife of James Madison, POTUS:

http://66.218.71.225/search/cache?p=scripture%2bcake%2brecipe&ei=UTF-8&cop=mss&u=www.intothewoods.us/HikerMama/Patriots/DolleyMaditonScriptureCake.html&w=%22scripture+cake+recipe%22&d=C1E4117F16&c=482&yc=47665&icp=1

(snip)
Doll(e)y Madison’s Scripture Cake

1 cup Judges 5:25 (last clause)
2 cups Jeremiah 6:20
3 ½ teaspoons Amos 4:5
3 ½ cups of 1st Kings 4:22
A little Leviticus 2:13 (about ½ teaspoon)
1st Kings 10:2 to taste (1/2 teaspoon of any kind)
1 cup of boiling Genesis 24:11
1 cup Numbers 17:8 (chopped)
1 large spoonful Proverbs 24:13
6 of Job 39:14
3 cups 1st Samuel 30:12 (chopped)
2 cups Revelation 6:13 (chopped)

Bake at 325 degrees for about one hour.

(snip)

Dear readers, I leave it to you to figure out the ingredients.

Enjoy!
