I haven't even ridden one in nearly 20 years. Like the old saying goes: once you learn, you never forget - but it sure hurts like hell if you haven't done it in awhile, lol.
It's part of my recent fitness regimen, and a way to break free of the gym and its monthly pick-pocketing. Not to mention the benefits of reducing some of my carbon footprint in a region with a carbon crater. The beach here in L.A. County has a 22-mile bicycle path, and I have already made some use of the stretch near home. It's hard to beat the sound of pounding surf and the smell of salty air while riding.
