The glaze machine I used would literally, if I cleaned it by hand take me roughly 4hrs to clean and that was half my shift. I was "encourage" to never clean the glaze machine...I worked in the Bakery for 7months or so, only cleaned it once.

Same thing with jelly filled donuts...

I have to remember that one, the bakery was just looking out for its customers, everyone needs a little protein...I can get behind that, :D

The jelly machines I used were similar, but they were a lot easier to clean(about 1hr total), but we were short handed and the bosses made us cut corners. I tried my best, but I believe nowadays a lot of donuts all ready come premade, all you have to do is heat them up, and put the glaze/frosting on them.

I will be flamed and consigned to the depths of hell for this, but 7-11 donuts are pretty good, 'specially the filled ones, like raspberry. They are made by local bakeries contracted to make 'em, and are delivered around 2AM, so they are never as fresh as the ones just coming out of the donut fryer. But, they are amongst the more acceptable ones, and the Boston Creme beats hell out of Dunkin Donuts' lame attempt. Bigger, too.

No more Kripsy Kremes within reach of Desolation Isle where I now live, but I have no fond memories of the all too perfectly shaped, tasteless little disks.
