I found an old album, "The First Family," if you can remember how people used to joke about JFK, his family and friends, it's hilarious.

The funniest segment for me is when all these world leaders order sandwiches for lunch.

Like Kruschchev will just take a bite of everyone else's sandwich, Castro gives a long-winded speech and then orders a chicken sandwich with a live chicken. :D

1. Kennedy was damned funny himself.

One of my favorite clips is at a press conference.
The lady he called on demands to know what he has done for women.
Without skipping a beat JFK says 'I am going to guess not nearly enough."

Yes some of those Kennedy imitators were damned funny. Vaughn Meader had Kennedy's mannerisms and voice to a T.

3. I saw Tim Conway doing a JFK imitation.

The early 60's show "McHale's Navy," a PT boat passed through, and Tim Conway imitated their skipper, yup, JFK. :D

10. He was known to be very quick with a response and

very witty. I was only 5 when he was was killed so I really do not have any memory of him being President except for one very vague one of Caroline and her pony, Macaroni. For some reason I remember that...

I do remember LBJ and he was pretty dull and seemed very mean to me in my child view of him.

I was just a little kid, but seeing that on the news got me mad at LBJ.

2. omg, I was thinking of

Vaughn Meader just yesterday! He was very good, and I always got a big kick out of watching his First Family skits on TV. Even JFK got a kick out of his impersonation of him. I remember seeing JFK on TV grinning and chuckling while talking about "Vaughn Meedah."

6. There was the great Lenny Bruce line...

According to several sources, avant-garde comedian Lenny Bruce appeared at a New York nightclub the day of Kennedy's assassination. As if testing his audience's readiness to find something funny so soon after tragedy, Bruce was silent for several moments before announcing, "Vaughn Meader is screwed!"

12. I've been going through boxes and boxes of book that are new... from the 1960s

new as in, they have been part of a store's back stock for so long they aren't even part of the back stock anymore.

The conservatives did a whole run of things like coloring books and there's one called "Sing Along With Jack..."



The John Birch Coloring Book has no left wing for the eagle...
